* replace local mount consts with libpod/defineJakub Guzik2021-03-07

* bump go module to v3Valentin Rothberg2021-02-22
| | | | | | | | | We missed bumping the go module, so let's do it now :) * Automated go code with github.com/sirkon/go-imports-rename * Manually via `vgrep podman/v2` the rest Signed-off-by: Valentin Rothberg <rothberg@redhat.com>
* Docker ignores mount flags that begin with constencyDaniel J Walsh2021-01-30
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Fixes https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1915332 ``` According to the Docker docs, the consistency option should be ignored on Linux. the possible values are 'cached', 'delegated', and 'consistent', but they should be ignored equally. This is a widely used option in scripts run by developer machines, as this makes file I/O less horribly slow on MacOS. ``` Signed-off-by: Daniel J Walsh <dwalsh@redhat.com>
* Reduce general binding binary sizebaude2021-01-13
| | | | | | | | when using the bindings to *only* make a connection, the binary was rough 28MB. This PR reduces it down to 11. There is more work to do but it will come in a secondary PR. Signed-off-by: baude <bbaude@redhat.com>
* Do not validate the volume source path in specgenPaul Holzinger2020-11-26
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | The volume src path should not be validated in specgen since the remote client also uses that part and the path must only exists on the server. This now fails later and only on the server and not the client. I don't think I can add a test for this because the CI runs server and client always on the same vm. Fixes #8473 Signed-off-by: Paul Holzinger <paul.holzinger@web.de>
* Document containers.conf settings for remote connectionsDaniel J Walsh2020-11-19
| | | | | | | | | | Currently we don't document which end of the podman-remote client server operations uses the containers.conf. This PR begins documenting this and then testing to make sure the defaults follow the rules. Fixes: https://github.com/containers/podman/issues/7657 Signed-off-by: Daniel J Walsh <dwalsh@redhat.com>
* Add better support for unbindable volume mountsDaniel J Walsh2020-11-02
| | | | | | | | Allow users to specify unbindable on volume command line Switch internal mounts to rprivate to help prevent leaks. Signed-off-by: Daniel J Walsh <dwalsh@redhat.com>
* new "image" mount typeValentin Rothberg2020-10-29
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add a new "image" mount type to `--mount`. The source of the mount is the name or ID of an image. The destination is the path inside the container. Image mounts further support an optional `rw,readwrite` parameter which if set to "true" will yield the mount writable inside the container. Note that no changes are propagated to the image mount on the host (which in any case is read only). Mounts are overlay mounts. To support read-only overlay mounts, vendor a non-release version of Buildah. Signed-off-by: Valentin Rothberg <rothberg@redhat.com>
* Convert Split() calls with an equal sign to SplitN()TomSweeneyRedHat2020-10-13
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | After seeing #7759, I decided to look at the calls in Podman and Buildah to see if we had issues with strings.Split() calls where an "=" (equals) sign was in play and we expected to split on only the first one. There were only one or two that I found in here that I think might have been troubling, the remainder are just adding some extra safety. I also had another half dozen or so that were checking length expectations appropriately, those I left alone. Signed-off-by: TomSweeneyRedHat <tsweeney@redhat.com>
* --mount: support arbitrary mount-argument orderValentin Rothberg2020-09-16
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Support an arbitrary order in which arguments are specified to the `--mount` flag. Previously, Podman expected `type=...` to come first which was breaking compatibility with Docker. Note that this is the ground work to default to "volume" (again Docker compat). However, this will require some further massaging as we have to assign a name. Fixes: #7628 Signed-off-by: Valentin Rothberg <rothberg@redhat.com>
* Don't limit the size on /run for systemd based containersDaniel J Walsh2020-08-18
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | We had a customer incident where they ran out of space on /run. If you don't specify size, it will be still limited to 50% or memory available in the cgroup the container is running in. If the cgroup is unlimited then the /run will be limited to 50% of the total memory on the system. Also /run is mounted on the host as exec, so no reason for us to mount it noexec. * podman: support --mount type=devptsGiuseppe Scrivano2020-08-03
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Allow to create a devpts mount. This is useful for containers that bind mount /dev/ from the host but at the same time want to create a terminal. It can be used as: podman run -v /dev:/dev --mount type=devpts,target=/dev/pts ... Closes: https://github.com/containers/podman/issues/6804 Signed-off-by: Giuseppe Scrivano <gscrivan@redhat.com>

* move go module to v2Valentin Rothberg2020-07-06
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | With the advent of Podman 2.0.0 we crossed the magical barrier of go modules. While we were able to continue importing all packages inside of the project, the project could not be vendored anymore from the outside. Move the go module to new major version and change all imports to `github.com/containers/libpod/v2`. The renaming of the imports was done via `gomove` [1]. * Combine the code of dealing with 'readonly' and 'ro'.Charles Shih2020-06-02

* Add support for `readonly` option to --mountMatthew Heon2020-05-26
| | | | | | | | | This is just an alias to the `ro` option, but it's already in the manpages (and Docker) so we might as well add support for it. Fixes #6379 Signed-off-by: Matthew Heon <matthew.heon@pm.me>
* Enable basic volumes support in Podmanv2Matthew Heon2020-04-22
This enables the --volume, --mount, and --tmpfs flags in Podmanv2. It does not enable init-related flags, image volumes, and --volumes-from. Signed-off-by: Matthew Heon <matthew.heon@pm.me>
