* Do not set the network config dir to cni plugin dirPaul Holzinger2022-02-09
| | | | | | | | | | | | I do not know why this code was added but it is wrong. We should never use a plugin dir as config dir. Also this will fail for netavark. The correct default will be set in c/common so podman should not touch it. [NO NEW TESTS NEEDED] Ref #13183 Signed-off-by: Paul Holzinger <pholzing@redhat.com>
* Engine.Remote from containers.confJhon Honce2022-01-20
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Heuristic to initialize TunnelMode/remote podman: - Podman built with remote tag - Podman running on darwin or windows GOOS - CONTAINER_HOST or CONTAINER_CONNECTION set in environment - --remote flag given on command line - From containers.conf, Engine.Remote == true and GOOS == linux Otherwise, podman will run in ABIMode/linked against libpod library. * Revert "rootful: unset XDG_RUNTIME_DIR"Paul Holzinger2021-09-24
| | | | | | | | | | | | This reverts commit 91e21bed48a2ab11049ef20e9150b5be531bc50a. XDG_RUNTIME_DIR is required for the authfile path. We cannot unset it. [NO TESTS NEEDED] Fixes #11725 Signed-off-by: Paul Holzinger <pholzing@redhat.com>
* rootful: unset XDG_RUNTIME_DIRPaul Holzinger2021-08-16
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Depending how the user logs in to the root account, XDG_RUNTIME_DIR is set to /run/user/0 or it is unset. For conmon we already set it always to an empty string. The inconsistency is causing issues for the dnsname plugin. To fix it unset XDG_RUNTIME_DIR for the podman process. * command: migrate doesn't move process to cgroupGiuseppe Scrivano2021-07-27
| | | | | | | | | | | | add a new annotation for the "system migrate" command to not move the pause process to a separate cgroup. The operation is not needed since "system migrate" destroys the pause process, so there won't be any process left to move to a cgroup. [NO TESTS NEEDED] Signed-off-by: Giuseppe Scrivano <gscrivan@redhat.com>
* [Techinal Debt] Cleanup ABI vs. Tunnel CLI commandsJhon Honce2021-05-27
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | [NO TESTS NEEDED] This commit cleans up two issues: * Most commands support all EngineModes so default to that. Let outlayers declare their intent. * Use cobra.Annotations to set supported EngineMode. This simplies instantiating commands as there is now one method to communicate a commands requirements rather than two. * Combined aliased commands into one file * Fixed aliased commands where Args field did not match * Updated examples in README.md for writing commands * Remove redundant flag DisableFlagsInUseLine in cobra.Command initialization. * | Cleanup handling of podman mount/unmountDaniel J Walsh2020-07-27
|/ | | | | | | | | | | We should default to the user name unmount rather then the internal name of umount. Also User namespace was not being handled correctly. We want to inform the user that if they do a mount when in rootless mode that they have to be first in the podman unshare state. Signed-off-by: Daniel J Walsh <dwalsh@redhat.com>

* move go module to v2Valentin Rothberg2020-07-06
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | With the advent of Podman 2.0.0 we crossed the magical barrier of go modules. While we were able to continue importing all packages inside of the project, the project could not be vendored anymore from the outside. Move the go module to new major version and change all imports to `github.com/containers/libpod/v2`. The renaming of the imports was done via `gomove` [1]. * Fixes --remote flag issuesJhon Honce2020-06-26
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | * --remote, --url and --identity are now anchored to podman command. Subcommands should no longer have issues * TraverseChildren now set to V1 expectations * Latest flag now has helper function. Now has consistent usage. * IsRemote() uses cobra parser to determin if --remote is given * Moved validation functions from parser pkg to validate pkg * Fixes #6598 Fixes #6704 Signed-off-by: Jhon Honce <jhonce@redhat.com>
* V2 podman system connectionJhon Honce2020-06-23
| | | | | | | | | * Implement command * Refactor podman-remote to pull from containers.conf by default * podman-remote defaults to --remote being true * Write podman-system-connection.1.md Signed-off-by: Jhon Honce <jhonce@redhat.com>
* default to tunnel without ABISupport tagDaniel J Walsh2020-05-08
| | | | | | | | | | When compiling a Linux binary without ABISupport, default to use the tunnel. The behaviour is expected in `podman-remote`. Also set a default for the remote flag so `podman-remote` works OOB. Signed-off-by: Valentin Rothberg <rothberg@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Daniel J Walsh <dwalsh@redhat.com>
