* libpod/runtime: switch to golang native error wrappingSascha Grunert2022-07-04
| | | | | | | | | We now use the golang error wrapping format specifier `%w` instead of the deprecated github.com/pkg/errors package. [NO NEW TESTS NEEDED] Signed-off-by: Sascha Grunert <sgrunert@redhat.com>

* Remove the runtime lockMatthew Heon2022-02-22
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This primarily served to protect us against shutting down the Libpod runtime while operations (like creating a container) were happening. However, it was very inconsistently implemented (a lot of our longer-lived functions, like pulling images, just didn't implement it at all...) and I'm not sure how much we really care about this very-specific error case? Removing it also removes a lot of potential deadlocks, which is nice. [NO NEW TESTS NEEDED] Signed-off-by: Matthew Heon <mheon@redhat.com>

* bump go module to v3Valentin Rothberg2021-02-22
| | | | | | | | | We missed bumping the go module, so let's do it now :) * Automated go code with github.com/sirkon/go-imports-rename * Manually via `vgrep podman/v2` the rest Signed-off-by: Valentin Rothberg <rothberg@redhat.com>
* Switch all references to github.com/containers/libpod -> podmanDaniel J Walsh2020-07-28

* move go module to v2Valentin Rothberg2020-07-06
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | With the advent of Podman 2.0.0 we crossed the magical barrier of go modules. While we were able to continue importing all packages inside of the project, the project could not be vendored anymore from the outside. Move the go module to new major version and change all imports to `github.com/containers/libpod/v2`. The renaming of the imports was done via `gomove` [1]. * Add pod prune for api v2.Sujil022020-04-17
| | | | | | | | Add the ability to prune pods for api v2, Includes the addition of force flag, for client side prompt. Update test suite to support this use case. Signed-off-by: Sujil02 <sushah@redhat.com>
* Filter pods through pod list apiSujil022020-03-17
| | | | | | | Refactored current filter pods flow through the shared pod functions so filter pod functionalities can be shared between api and cmd. Signed-off-by: Sujil02 <sushah@redhat.com>

* remove libpod from mainbaude2019-06-25
| | | | | | | | | | | | | the compilation demands of having libpod in main is a burden for the remote client compilations. to combat this, we should move the use of libpod structs, vars, constants, and functions into the adapter code where it will only be compiled by the local client. this should result in cleaner code organization and smaller binaries. it should also help if we ever need to compile the remote client on non-Linux operating systems natively (not cross-compiled). * Fixing network ns segfaulthaircommander2018-08-23
| | | | | | | | | As well as small style corrections, update pod_top_test to use CreatePod, and move handling of adding a container to the pod's namespace from container_internal_linux to libpod/option. Signed-off-by: haircommander <pehunt@redhat.com> Closes: #1187 Approved by: mheon
* Added option to share kernel namespaces in libpod and podmanhaircommander2018-08-23
| | | | | | | | | A pause container is added to the pod if the user opts in. The default pause image and command can be overridden. Pause containers are ignored in ps unless the -a option is present. Pod inspect and pod ps show shared namespaces and pause container. A pause container can't be removed with podman rm, and a pod can be removed if it only has a pause container. * libpod/runtime_pod: Make removePod per-platformW. Trevor King2018-07-06
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | b96be3af (changes to allow for darwin compilation, 2018-06-20, #1015) made RemovePod per-platform, but left out docs for the unsupported version [1]: libpod/runtime_pod_unsupported.go:14:1:warning: exported method Runtime.RemovePod should have comment or be unexported (golint) To keep the docs DRY, I've restored RemovePod and its docs to their previous location, and named a new, internal removePod for the per-platform implementations. * libpod: Execute poststop hooks locallyW. Trevor King2018-06-04
| | | | | | | | | | | | Instead of delegating to the runtime, since some runtimes do not seem to handle these reliably [1]. [1]: https://github.com/projectatomic/libpod/issues/730#issuecomment-392959938 Signed-off-by: W. Trevor King <wking@tremily.us> Closes: #864 Approved by: rhatdan
* Add per-pod CGroupsMatthew Heon2018-05-17
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Pods can now create their own (cgroupfs) cgroups which containers in them can (optionally) use. This presently only works with CGroupFS, systemd cgroups are still WIP Signed-off-by: Matthew Heon <matthew.heon@gmail.com> Closes: #784 Approved by: rhatdan
* Add pod stateMatthew Heon2018-05-17
| | | | | | | | | | Add a mutable state to pods, and database backend sutable for modifying and updating said state. Signed-off-by: Matthew Heon <matthew.heon@gmail.com> Closes: #784 Approved by: rhatdan
* Use container cleanup() functions when removingMatthew Heon2018-05-17
| | | | | | | | | | | | Instead of manually calling the individual functions that cleanup uses to tear down a container's resources, just call the cleanup function to make sure that cleanup only needs to happen in one place. Signed-off-by: Matthew Heon <matthew.heon@gmail.com> Closes: #790 Approved by: rhatdan
* Check for duplicate names when generating new container and pod names.Daniel J Walsh2018-03-29
| | | | | | | | | This fixes the situation where we fail to create a container when a name already exists. Signed-off-by: Daniel J Walsh <dwalsh@redhat.com> Closes: #517 Approved by: baude

* Handle removing containers with active exec sessionsMatthew Heon2018-03-01
| | | | | | | | | | | | | For containers without --force set, an error will be returned For containers with --force, all pids in the container will be stopped, first with SIGTERM and then with SIGKILL after a timeout (this mimics the behavior of stopping a container). Signed-off-by: Matthew Heon <matthew.heon@gmail.com> Closes: #412 Approved by: baude

* Tear out pod containers map. Instead rely on stateMatthew Heon2018-02-09
| | | | | | | | | | This ensures that there is only one canonical place where containers in a pod are stored, in the state itself. Signed-off-by: Matthew Heon <matthew.heon@gmail.com> Closes: #268 Approved by: rhatdan
