* Add function for looking up volumes by partial nameMatthew Heon2019-09-09
| | | | | | | | | | This isn't included in Docker, but seems handy enough. Use the new API for 'volume rm' and 'volume inspect'. Fixes #3891 Signed-off-by: Matthew Heon <matthew.heon@pm.me>

* Add --digestfile option to pushTomSweeneyRedHat2019-08-21
| | | | | | | | | | Add the digestfile option to the push command so the digest can be stored away in a file when requested by the user. Also have added a debug statement to show the completion of the push. Emulates Buildah's https://github.com/containers/buildah/pull/1799/files Signed-off-by: TomSweeneyRedHat <tsweeney@redhat.com>

| * Implement backend for 'volume inspect'Matthew Heon2019-08-02
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Begin to separate the internal structures and frontend for inspect on volumes. We can't rely on keeping internal data structures for external presentation - separating presentation and internal data format is good practice. Signed-off-by: Matthew Heon <matthew.heon@pm.me>

* configure runtime without storebaude2019-07-01
| | | | | | | | | some podman commands do not require the use of a container/image store. in those cases, it is more effecient to not open the store, because that results in having to also close the store which can be costly when the system is under heavy write I/O loads. * libpod removal from main (phase 2)baude2019-06-27

* remove libpod from mainbaude2019-06-25
| | | | | | | | | | | | | the compilation demands of having libpod in main is a burden for the remote client compilations. to combat this, we should move the use of libpod structs, vars, constants, and functions into the adapter code where it will only be compiled by the local client. this should result in cleaner code organization and smaller binaries. it should also help if we ever need to compile the remote client on non-Linux operating systems natively (not cross-compiled). Signed-off-by: baude <bbaude@redhat.com>
* podman-remote.conf enablementbaude2019-05-30
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | add the ability for the podman remote client to use a configuration file which describes its connections. users can now define a connection the configuration and then call it by name like: podman-remote -c connection1 and the destination and user will be derived from the configuration file. if no -c is provided, we look for a connection in the configuration file designated as 'default'. If the configuration file has only one connection, it will be deemed the 'default'. Signed-off-by: baude <bbaude@redhat.com>

|\ | | | | rootless: single user namespace
| * rootless: use a single user namespaceGiuseppe Scrivano2019-04-01
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | simplify the rootless implementation to use a single user namespace for all the running containers. This makes the rootless implementation behave more like root Podman, where each container is created in the host environment. There are multiple advantages to it: 1) much simpler implementation as there is only one namespace to join. 2) we can join namespaces owned by different containers. 3) commands like ps won't be limited to what container they can access as previously we either had access to the storage from a new namespace or access to /proc when running from the host. 4) rootless varlink works. 5) there are only two ways to enter in a namespace, either by creating a new one if no containers are running or joining the existing one from any container. Containers created by older Podman versions must be restarted. Signed-off-by: Giuseppe Scrivano <gscrivan@redhat.com>

* Add "died" eventbaude2019-03-25
| | | | | | | | | | We have a new event for container 'Exited' which has been renamed to 'died'. also removed the stream bool from the varlink endpoint for events because it can be determined by the varlink more value. Signed-off-by: baude <bbaude@redhat.com>
* Add event logging to libpod, even display to podmanbaude2019-03-11
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In lipod, we now log major events that occurr. These events can be displayed using the `podman events` command. Each event contains: * Type (container, image, volume, pod...) * Status (create, rm, stop, kill, ....) * Timestamp in RFC3339Nano format * Name (if applicable) * Image (if applicable) The format of the event and the varlink endpoint are to not be considered stable until cockpit has done its enablement. * rootless: fix pod stop|rm if uid in the container != 0Giuseppe Scrivano2019-03-11
