* Podman Pod Create --sysctl supportcdoern2022-01-12
| | | | | | | | | | added support for pod wide sysctls. The sysctls supported are the same as the continer run controls. These controls are only valid if the proper namespaces are shared within the pod, otherwise only the infra ctr gets the sysctl resolves #12747 Signed-off-by: cdoern <cdoern@redhat.com>
* Pod Security Option supportcdoern2021-12-27
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Added support for pod security options. These are applied to infra and passed down to the containers as added (unless overridden). Modified the inheritance process from infra, creating a new function Inherit() which reads the config, and marshals the compatible options into an intermediate struct `InfraInherit` This is then unmarshaled into a container config and all of this is added to the CtrCreateOptions. Removes the need (mostly) for special additons which complicate the Container_create code and pod creation. resolves #12173 Signed-off-by: cdoern <cdoern@redhat.com>
* Allow users to add host user accounts to /etc/passwdDaniel J Walsh2021-12-23
| | | | | | | | | | | Some containers require certain user account(s) to exist within the container when they are run. This option will allow callers to add a bunch of passwd entries from the host to the container even if the entries are not in the local /etc/passwd file on the host. Fixes: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1935831 Signed-off-by: Daniel J Walsh <dwalsh@redhat.com>
* Warn on use of --kernel-memoryDaniel J Walsh2021-12-22
| | | | | | | | | It has been deprecated and is no longer supported. Fully remove it and only print a warning if a user uses it. Fixes: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2011695 Signed-off-by: Daniel J Walsh <dwalsh@redhat.com>
* Add new networks format to spegecenPaul Holzinger2021-12-14
| | | | | | | | Add the new networks format to specgen. For api users cni_networks is still supported to make migration easier however the static ip and mac fields are removed. Signed-off-by: Paul Holzinger <pholzing@redhat.com>
* Add --unsetenv & --unsetenv-all to remove def environment variablesDaniel J Walsh2021-11-15
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Podman adds a few environment variables by default, and currently there is no way to get rid of them from your container. This option will allow you to specify which defaults you don't want. --unsetenv-all will remove all default environment variables. Default environment variables can come from podman builtin, containers.conf or from the container image. Fixes: https://github.com/containers/podman/issues/11836 Signed-off-by: Daniel J Walsh <dwalsh@redhat.com>
* Enable 'podman run --memory-swappiness=0'Hironori Shiina2021-11-12
| | | | | | | | '--memory-swappiness=0' used to work. This patch fixes the regression issue, which was caused by the change of infra container creation process. Signed-off-by: Hironori Shiina <shiina.hironori@jp.fujitsu.com>
* MAC address json unmarshal should allow stringsPaul Holzinger2021-11-03
| | | | | | | | | Create a new mac address type which supports json marshal/unmarshal from and to string. This change is backwards compatible with the previous versions as the unmarshal method still accepts the old byte array or base64 encoded string. Signed-off-by: Paul Holzinger <pholzing@redhat.com>
* container create: fix --tls-verify parsingValentin Rothberg2021-10-27
| | | | | | | | | Make sure that the value is only set if specified on the CLI. c/image already defaults to true but if set in the system context, we'd skip settings in the registries.conf. Fixes: #11933 Signed-off-by: Valentin Rothberg <rothberg@redhat.com>
* Allow API to specify size and inode quotaDaniel J Walsh2021-10-18
| | | | | | | | | | | Fixes: https://github.com/containers/podman/issues/11016 [NO NEW TESTS NEEDED] We have no easy way to tests this in CI/CD systems. Requires quota to be setup on directories to work. Fixes: https://github.com/containers/podman/issues/11016 Signed-off-by: Daniel J Walsh <dwalsh@redhat.com>
* Add --time out for podman * rm -f commandsDaniel J Walsh2021-10-04
| | | | | | | | | Add --time flag to podman container rm Add --time flag to podman pod rm Add --time flag to podman volume rm Add --time flag to podman network rm Signed-off-by: Daniel J Walsh <dwalsh@redhat.com>
* Pod Volumes From Supportcdoern2021-10-01
| | | | | | | added support for a volumes from container. this flag just required movement of the volumes-from flag declaration out of the !IsInfra block, and minor modificaions to container_create.go Signed-off-by: cdoern <cdoern@redhat.com>
* Pod Device-Read-BPS supportcdoern2021-09-28
| | | | | | | | | added the option for the user to specify a rate, in bytes, at which they would like to be able to read from the device being added to the pod. This is the first in a line of pod device options. WARNING: changed pod name json tag to pod_name to avoid confusion when marshaling with the containerspec's name Signed-off-by: cdoern <cdoern@redhat.com>
* Pod Device Supportcdoern2021-09-20
| | | | | | | | | | added support for pod devices. The device gets added to the infra container and recreated in all containers that join the pod. This required a new container config item to keep track of the original device passed in by the user before the path was parsed into the container device. Signed-off-by: cdoern <cdoern@redhat.com>
* Created MapOptions for PodCreatecdoern2021-09-20
| | | | | | | | MapOptions take the pod and container create options, assigning matching values from infra back to the pod for the Libpod API. This function, unlike the previous one, does not require any manual additions when new options are added since it uses the structs JSON tags, this is a more modular approach. Signed-off-by: cdoern <cdoern@redhat.com>
* Pod Volumes Supportcdoern2021-09-14
| | | | | | | | | added support for the --volume flag in pods using the new infra container design. users can specify all volume options they can with regular containers resolves #10379 Signed-off-by: cdoern <cdoern@redhat.com>
* kube: Add support for podman pod logsAditya Rajan2021-09-05
| | | | | | | | | | | Following PR adds support for `kubectl` like `pod logs` to podman. Usage `podman pod logs <podIDorName` gives a stream of logs for all the containers within the pod with **containername** as a field. Just like **`kubectl`** also supports `podman pod logs -c ctrIDorName podIDorName` to limit the log stream to any of the specificied container which belongs to pod. Signed-off-by: Aditya Rajan <arajan@redhat.com>
* InfraContainer Reworkcdoern2021-08-26
| | | | | | | | | | InfraContainer should go through the same creation process as regular containers. This change was from the cmd level down, involving new container CLI opts and specgen creating functions. What now happens is that both container and pod cli options are populated in cmd and used to create a podSpecgen and a containerSpecgen. The process then goes as follows FillOutSpecGen (infra) -> MapSpec (podOpts -> infraOpts) -> PodCreate -> MakePod -> createPodOptions -> NewPod -> CompleteSpec (infra) -> MakeContainer -> NewContainer -> newContainer -> AddInfra (to pod state) Signed-off-by: cdoern <cdoern@redhat.com>
* Add support for pod inside of user namespace.Daniel J Walsh2021-08-09
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Add the --userns flag to podman pod create and keep track of the userns setting that pod was created with so that all containers created within the pod will inherit that userns setting. Specifically we need to be able to launch a pod with --userns=keep-id Signed-off-by: Daniel J Walsh <dwalsh@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Urvashi Mohnani <umohnani@redhat.com>
* --infra-name command line argumentJosé Guilherme Vanz2021-07-15
| | | | | | | | | Adds the new --infra-name command line argument allowing users to define the name of the infra container Issue #10794 Signed-off-by: José Guilherme Vanz <jvanz@jvanz.com>
* podman pod create --pid flagcdoern2021-07-15
| | | | | | | | added support for --pid flag. User can specify ns:file, pod, private, or host. container returns an error since you cannot point the ns of the pods infra container to a container outside of the pod. Signed-off-by: cdoern <cdoern@redhat.com>
* Podman Pod Create --cpus and --cpuset-cpus flagscdoern2021-06-23
| | | | | | | | | | | | Added logic and handling for two new Podman pod create Flags. --cpus specifies the total number of cores on which the pod can execute, this is a combination of the period and quota for the CPU. --cpuset-cpus is a string value which determines of these available cores, how many we will truly execute on. Signed-off-by: cdoern <cbdoer23@g.holycross.edu>
* bump go module to v3Valentin Rothberg2021-02-22
| | | | | | | | | We missed bumping the go module, so let's do it now :) * Automated go code with github.com/sirkon/go-imports-rename * Manually via `vgrep podman/v2` the rest Signed-off-by: Valentin Rothberg <rothberg@redhat.com>
* Add 'MemUsageBytes' format optionStuart Shelton2021-01-12
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Although storage is more human-readable when expressed in SI units, IEC/JEDEC (Bytes) units are more pertinent for memory-related values (and match the format of the --memory* command-line options). (To prevent possible compatibility issues, the default SI display is left unchanged) See https://github.com/containers/podman/issues/8945 Signed-off-by: Stuart Shelton <stuart@shelton.me>
* Add Networks format placeholder to podman ps and pod psPaul Holzinger2021-01-09
| | | | | | | `podman ps --format {{.Networks}}` will show all connected networks for this container. For `pod ps` it will show the infra container networks. Signed-off-by: Paul Holzinger <paul.holzinger@web.de>
* Add support for slirp network for podsAshley Cui2020-09-25
| | | | | | flag --network=slirp4netns[options] for root and rootless pods Signed-off-by: Ashley Cui <acui@redhat.com>
* Switch all references to github.com/containers/libpod -> podmanDaniel J Walsh2020-07-28

* Fix container and pod create commands for remote createMatthew Heon2020-07-10
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In `podman inspect` output for containers and pods, we include the command that was used to create the container. This is also used by `podman generate systemd --new` to generate unit files. With remote podman, the generated create commands were incorrect since we sourced directly from os.Args on the server side, which was guaranteed to be `podman system service` (or some variant thereof). The solution is to pass the command along in the Specgen or PodSpecgen, where we can source it from the client's os.Args. This will still be VERY iffy for mixed local/remote use (doing a `podman --remote run ...` on a remote client then a `podman generate systemd --new` on the server on the same container will not work, because the `--remote` flag will slip in) but at the very least the output of `podman inspect` will be correct. We can look into properly handling `--remote` (parsing it out would be a little iffy) in a future PR. Signed-off-by: Matthew Heon <matthew.heon@pm.me>
* move go module to v2Valentin Rothberg2020-07-06
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | With the advent of Podman 2.0.0 we crossed the magical barrier of go modules. While we were able to continue importing all packages inside of the project, the project could not be vendored anymore from the outside. Move the go module to new major version and change all imports to `github.com/containers/libpod/v2`. The renaming of the imports was done via `gomove` [1]. * pod create: add `--infra-conmon-pidfile`Valentin Rothberg2020-06-11
| | | | | | | | | | | Add an `--infra-conmon-pidfile` flag to `podman-pod-create` to write the infra container's conmon process ID to a specified path. Several container sub-commands already support `--conmon-pidfile` which is especially helpful to allow for systemd to access and track the conmon processes. This allows for easily tracking the conmon process of a pod's infra container. Signed-off-by: Valentin Rothberg <rothberg@redhat.com>
* Fix Id->ID where possible for lintDaniel J Walsh2020-06-10

* implement pod statsValentin Rothberg2020-04-27
| | | | | | | Implement pod stats for the local and remote client. Both code paths end up in infra/abi to allow for code share. Signed-off-by: Valentin Rothberg <rothberg@redhat.com>
* Cleanup network option parsingDaniel J Walsh2020-04-19
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We were not handling the parsing of --ip. This pr adds validation checks and now will support the flag. Move validation to the actual parsing of the network flags. We should only parse the dns flags if the user changed them. We don't want to pass default options if set in containers.conf to the server. Potential for duplicating defaults. Add support for --dns-opt flag passing Begin handling of --network flag, although we don't have a way right now to translate a string into a specgen.Namespace. Signed-off-by: Daniel J Walsh <dwalsh@redhat.com>
