* bump go module to version 4Valentin Rothberg2022-01-18
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Automated for .go files via gomove [1]: `gomove github.com/containers/podman/v3 github.com/containers/podman/v4` Remaining files via vgrep [2]: `vgrep github.com/containers/podman/v3` [1] https://github.com/KSubedi/gomove [2] https://github.com/vrothberg/vgrep Signed-off-by: Valentin Rothberg <rothberg@redhat.com>
* bump go module to v3Valentin Rothberg2021-02-22
| | | | | | | | | We missed bumping the go module, so let's do it now :) * Automated go code with github.com/sirkon/go-imports-rename * Manually via `vgrep podman/v2` the rest Signed-off-by: Valentin Rothberg <rothberg@redhat.com>
* Exorcise Driver code from libpod/defineMatthew Heon2021-01-12
| | | | | | | | | | | | The libpod/define code should not import any large dependencies, as it is intended to be structures and definitions only. It included the libpod/driver package for information on the storage driver, though, which brought in all of c/storage. Split the driver package so that define has the struct, and thus does not need to import Driver. And simplify the driver code while we're at it. Signed-off-by: Matthew Heon <mheon@redhat.com>

* move go module to v2Valentin Rothberg2020-07-06
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | With the advent of Podman 2.0.0 we crossed the magical barrier of go modules. While we were able to continue importing all packages inside of the project, the project could not be vendored anymore from the outside. Move the go module to new major version and change all imports to `github.com/containers/libpod/v2`. The renaming of the imports was done via `gomove` [1]. * consolidate env handling into pkg/envValentin Rothberg2020-03-03
| | | | | | | | | Env-variable related code is scattered across several packages making it hard to maintain and extend. Consolidate the code into a new pkg/env package. Signed-off-by: Valentin Rothberg <rothberg@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Matthew Heon <matthew.heon@pm.me>
* inspect image healthchecksBrent Baude2020-01-27
| | | | | | | when a docker image has a defined healthcheck, it should be displayed with inspect. this is only valid for docker images as oci images are not aware of healthchecks. Fixes: #4799 Signed-off-by: Brent Baude <bbaude@redhat.com>
* Add history names to image inspect dataSascha Grunert2019-12-13
| | | | | | | During writing the tests I found it would be probably useful to have the tag history part of the inspect data. Signed-off-by: Sascha Grunert <sgrunert@suse.com>
* Begin to break up pkg/inspectMatthew Heon2019-06-03
| | | | | | | | | | Let's put inspect structs where they're actually being used. We originally made pkg/inspect to solve circular import issues. There are no more circular import issues. Image structs remain for now, I'm focusing on container inspect. Signed-off-by: Matthew Heon <matthew.heon@pm.me>
* Added --log-driver and journald loggingPeter Hunt2019-05-28

* Add support for retry count with --restart flagMatthew Heon2019-05-03
| | | | | | | | | The on-failure restart option supports restarting only a given number of times. To do this, we need one additional field in the DB to track restart count (which conveniently fills a field in Inspect we weren't populating), plus some plumbing logic. Signed-off-by: Matthew Heon <matthew.heon@pm.me>
* Add --read-only-tmpfs optionsDaniel J Walsh2019-04-26
| | | | | | | | | | | The --read-only-tmpfs option caused podman to mount tmpfs on /run, /tmp, /var/tmp if the container is running int read-only mode. The default is true, so you would need to execute a command like --read-only --read-only-tmpfs=false to turn off this behaviour. Signed-off-by: Daniel J Walsh <dwalsh@redhat.com>
* Export ConmonPidFile in 'podman inspect' for containersDebarshi Ray2019-03-18
| | | | | | | | | This can help scripts provide a more meaningful message when coming across issues [1] which require the container to be re-created. [1] eg., https://github.com/containers/libpod/issues/2673 Signed-off-by: Debarshi Ray <rishi@fedoraproject.org>
* healtcheck phase 2baude2019-03-12
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | integration of healthcheck into create and run as well as inspect. healthcheck enhancements are as follows: * add the following options to create|run so that non-docker images can define healthchecks at the container level. * --healthcheck-command * --healthcheck-retries * --healthcheck-interval * --healthcheck-start-period * podman create|run --healthcheck-command=none disables healthcheck as described by an image. * the healthcheck itself and the healthcheck "history" can now be observed in podman inspect * added the wiring for healthcheck history which logs the health history of the container, the current failed streak attempts, and log entries for the last five attempts which themselves have start and stop times, result, and a 500 character truncated (if needed) log of stderr/stdout. The timings themselves are not implemented in this PR but will be in future enablement (i.e. next). Signed-off-by: baude <bbaude@redhat.com>

* Reveal information about container capabilitiesDaniel J Walsh2018-08-24
| | | | | | | | | | | I am often asked about the list of capabilities availabel to a container. We should be listing this data in the inspect command for effective capabilities and the bounding set. Signed-off-by: Daniel J Walsh <dwalsh@redhat.com> Closes: #1335 Approved by: TomSweeneyRedHat

* Added option to share kernel namespaces in libpod and podmanhaircommander2018-08-23
| | | | | | | | | A pause container is added to the pod if the user opts in. The default pause image and command can be overridden. Pause containers are ignored in ps unless the -a option is present. Pod inspect and pod ps show shared namespaces and pause container. A pause container can't be removed with podman rm, and a pod can be removed if it only has a pause container. Signed-off-by: haircommander <pehunt@redhat.com> Closes: #1187 Approved by: mheon

* Add `podman container cleanup` to CLIDaniel J Walsh2018-06-29
| | | | | | | | | | | | | When we run containers in detach mode, nothing cleans up the network stack or the mount points. This patch will tell conmon to execute the cleanup code when the container exits. It can also be called to attempt to cleanup previously running containers. * Retrieve IP addresses for container from DBMatthew Heon2018-04-26
| | | | | | | | | | Instead of execing out to the host's IP, use the IP address we got back from CNI to populate Inspect's IP address information. Signed-off-by: Matthew Heon <mheon@redhat.com> Closes: #680 Approved by: umohnani8

* Include tmpfs in inspectbaude2018-03-14
| | | | | | | | | | | | Other container runtimes include the tmpfs mount points in their inspect output. Podman should as well. It is under hostconfig. Resolves: #483 Signed-off-by: baude <bbaude@redhat.com> Closes: #488 Approved by: rhatdan
* Performance enhancement for podman imagesbaude2018-02-20
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Previous code was using slow routines to collect some of the information needed to output images. Specifically size was being calculated instead of using the cached, already known size already available. Also, straight- lined several of the code paths. Overall assessment is that these improvements cut the time for images in half. Signed-off-by: baude <bbaude@redhat.com> Closes: #365 Approved by: mheon
* Change json to match docker inspectDaniel J Walsh2018-02-11
| | | | | | | | | | Changing these fields caused the output of podman inspect to more closely match docker inspect. Signed-off-by: Daniel J Walsh <dwalsh@redhat.com> Closes: #306 Approved by: mheon
* Match podman inspect output to docker inspectumohnani82018-02-06
| | | | | | | | | | | | Made a change to make sure that the output paths of podman inspect matches that of docker inspect. For example to get the stop signal you should be able to do podman inspect ctr --format {{.Config.StopSignal}} and the same thing in docker will give the same results. Signed-off-by: umohnani8 <umohnani@redhat.com> Closes: #292 Approved by: rhatdan
* Migrate Create|Commit to ginkgobaude2018-02-02
Migrate create and commit bats tests to the ginkgo test suite. In doing so, some structures had to be moved to pkg/podmanstructs/podmanstructs.go so we could do better verification of test results. Signed-off-by: baude <bbaude@redhat.com> Closes: #286 Approved by: rhatdan
