* use pause image for check allbaude2019-11-14
| | | | | | | | the pull all tags test can frequently timeout when trying to pull all alpine tags. using the pause image, which is smaller, should provide some relief. Signed-off-by: baude <bbaude@redhat.com>

* Add e2e tests for manifest list supportNalin Dahyabhai2019-10-29
| | | | | | | | | | Test that when we pull using tag or digest references from locations that are manifest lists, that we can inspect using the references that we used for pulling, that the tags show up in the RepoTag list when we inspect an image that was pulled using a tag, and that the list and instance digests always both show up in the RepoDigest list. Signed-off-by: Nalin Dahyabhai <nalin@redhat.com>
* Refactor tests when checking for error exit codesJhon Honce2019-10-16
| | | | | | | Rather than checking for non-zero, we need to check for >0 to distinguish between timeouts and error exit codes. Signed-off-by: Jhon Honce <jhonce@redhat.com>
* Fix directory pull image name for OCI imagesSascha Grunert2019-08-19
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This is a breaking change and modifies the resulting image name when pulling from an directory via `oci:...`. Without this patch, the image names pulled via a local directory got processed incorrectly, like this: ``` > podman pull oci:alpine > podman images REPOSITORY TAG IMAGE ID CREATED SIZE localhost/oci alpine 4fa153a82426 5 weeks ago 5.85 MB ``` We now use the same approach as in the corresponding [buildah fix][1] to adapt the behavior for correct `localhost/` prefixing. [1]: https://github.com/containers/buildah/pull/1800 After applying the patch the same OCI image pull looks like this: ``` > ./bin/podman pull oci:alpine > podman images REPOSITORY TAG IMAGE ID CREATED SIZE localhost/alpine latest 4fa153a82426 5 weeks ago 5.85 MB ``` End-to-end tests have been adapted as well to cover the added scenario. * use imagecaches for local testsbaude2019-05-29
| | | | | | | | | when doing localized tests (not varlink), we can use secondary image stores as read-only image caches. this cuts down on test time significantly because each test does not need to restore the images from a tarball anymore. Signed-off-by: baude <bbaude@redhat.com>
* pull: exit with error if the image is not foundGiuseppe Scrivano2019-04-12
| | | | | | Closes: https://github.com/containers/libpod/issues/2785 Signed-off-by: Giuseppe Scrivano <gscrivan@redhat.com>
* ginkgo status improvementsbaude2019-03-08

* Fix SystemExec completion raceChris Evich2019-03-01
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Some callers assume when SystemExec returns, the command has completed. Other callers explicitly wait for completion (as required). However, forgetting to do that is an incredibly easy mistake to make. Fix this by adding an explicit parameter to the function. This requires every caller to deliberately state whether or not a completion-check is required. Also address **many** resource naming / cleanup completion-races. * Add --all-tags to pull commandTomSweeneyRedHat2019-02-09
| | | | | | | | | | Signed-off-by: TomSweeneyRedHat <tsweeney@redhat.com> Add --all-tags for the `podman pull` command so all tags of an image will be pulled, not just ':latest'. Emulates the change in Buildah https://github.com/containers/buildah/pull/1263 Signed-off-by: TomSweeneyRedHat <tsweeney@redhat.com>
* Run integrations test with remote-clientbaude2019-01-14
| | | | | | | | | | | | Add the ability to run the integration (ginkgo) suite using the remote client. Only the images_test.go file is run right now; all the rest are isolated with a // +build !remotelinux. As more content is developed for the remote client, we can unblock the files and just block single tests as needed. Signed-off-by: baude <bbaude@redhat.com>
* Separate common used test functions and structs to test/utilsYiqiao Pu2018-11-16
| | | | | | | Put common used test functions and structs to a separated package. So we can use them for more testsuites. Signed-off-by: Yiqiao Pu <ypu@redhat.com>

* Show duration for each ginkgo test and test speed improvementsbaude2018-07-28
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Because our tests are getting so long, we want to be able to audit which tests are taking the longest to complete. This may indicate a bad test, bad CI, bad code, etc and therefore should be auditable. Also, make speed improvements to tests by making sure we only unpack caches images that actually get used. Signed-off-by: baude <bbaude@redhat.com> Closes: #1178 Approved by: mheon
* fix pull image that includes a shabaude2018-07-13
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | when pulling an image that includes a sha such as: centos/nginx-112-centos7@sha256:42330f7f29ba1ad67819f4ff3ae2472f62de13a827a74736a5098728462212e7 the final image name in libpod should not contain portions of the sha itself nor the sha identifier. and like docker, we provide a 'none' tag as well. this should fix #877 Signed-off-by: baude <bbaude@redhat.com> Closes: #1085 Approved by: mheon
