The callback is called from the user interface thread. The <strong><code>XMLHttpRequest.onreadystatechange</code></strong> property contains the event handler to be called when the {{event("readystatechange")}} event is fired, that is every time the {{domxref("XMLHttpRequest.readyState", "readyState")}} property of the {{domxref("XMLHttpRequest")}} changes.</p>
