<h2 id="既存のページ">既存のページ</h2>

<p>既定では、既存のページを編集する時、ページタイトルを表示します。</p>

<p><strong>Edit Page Title and Properties</strong> のリンクをクリックして、追加のページコントロールの表示を切り替えることができます。この表示は次のようなものです:</p>

<p>この表示は次の設定を変更できます:</p>

 <dt>Title</dt>
 <dd>ブラウザーのタイトルバー (やタブバー) に表示されるタイトルと、記事の最上部とパンくずリストにあるページのタイトル。これはページの URL には影響しません。</dd>
 <dt>TOC(目次)</dt>
 <dd>記事の見出しレベルが、目次でどれだけ深くページに自動表示されるかを決めるレベル。既定では、見出しレベル<a href="https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/h2" title="Heading elements implement six levels of document headings, &lt;h1> is the most important and &lt;h6> is the least. A heading element briefly describes the topic of the section it introduces. Heading information may be used by user agents, for example, to construct a table of contents for a document automatically."><code>&lt;h2&gt;</code></a> から<a href="https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/h4" title="Heading elements implement six levels of document headings, &lt;h1> is the most important and &lt;h6> is the least. Heading information may be used by user agents, for example, to construct a table of contents for a document automatically."><code>&lt;h4&gt;</code></a> が目次となり、よって目次は3段階の深さになります。しかし、これをどのようにも設定できて、"No TOC" (目次を全く表示しない、例えばランディングページのように) でも、目次を全レベル表示するようにもできます。</dd>
 <dt>Rendering max age</dt>
 <dd>このページが自動的に再レンダリングされる頻度を決めます。大半の場合において、この設定はゼロのままにします。</dd>
 <dt>Lookup</dt>
 <dd>ローカライズされたページでは、この項目はページの正統版から「みなしご」になったページを再度関連付けるのに役立ちます。英語が MDN ではデファクトの正統な言語であるため、英語のページでは役立ちません。</dd>

<h2 id="新規のページ">新規のページ</h2>

<p><a href="/MDN/Contribute/Howto/Create_and_edit_pages#Getting_page_creation_permission">ページ作成権限</a> を取得している場合、新規のページを作成できます。<a href="/ja/docs//MDN/Contribute/Howto/Create_and_edit_pages#Creating_a_new_page">ページを作成/編集する方法</a>を見て、ページ作成のさまざまなテクニックを見てください。新規のページでは、ページ情報欄はこのようになります:</p>

<p>ここに、<strong>Title(タイトル)</strong> と<strong>TOC(目次)</strong> フィールドを、既存ページと同様にセットできて、ページの <strong>Slug</strong> もセットできます。slug はページを表現する URL の最後の部分です。(<strong>Parent(親ページ)</strong> が読み取り専用項目として表示され、URL のサイトのルート以降の残りで表現します) テキスト項目に入力すると、Slug 項目はタイトルと同じテキストで、スペースをアンダースコアに置換しつつ自動入力されます。</p>

<p>短い slug と詳しいタイトルに価値があります; 例えば、エディターページコントロールのタイトルは "MDN editor page controls" ですがその URL は <code>MDN/Contribute/Editor/Basics/Page_controls</code> であり、<code>Page_controls</code> がページを表現する slug です。</p>
